London, England - Pembridge Partners LLP announces its fifth investment in a Creative Services Firm, taking a minority stake in Poulter Group Ltd, following its Management Buy Out (MBO) in 1998.
Poulter Group is one of the leading UK independent integrated marketing communications agencies with 150 staff, and clients including the COI, DfES, Britvic, Redrow Homes, Jeyes and Gala.
Pembridge invested as part of a refinancing which saw the management team buy back shares from the incumbent VC, Aberdeen Murray Johnstone, who invested in the deal at the time of the MBO. They will retain a small minority interest.
Otto Stevens, the Pembridge partner who led the deal said "Poulter Partners is an extremely professional, well-run business with excellent prospects. Like most creative services firms, it wanted to maximise the available equity for its management and staff - the refinancing exercise helped them do this."
Rose Lewis, the Pembridge investment partner said, "Poulter hits all of our investment criteria: growing leading independent CSF with a strong management team."
Gary McCall, who leads Poulter, said "Business performance has been strong recently and there was a need to make more shares available for management and staff. Poulter is growing and the economic climate for our business is very healthy."
