London, England - Next Thursday sees another introductory session for the g2i (gateway2investment) program that's helped hundreds of companies in the capital raise finance for growth. With over £30M raised to date, signing up is a no-brainer for anyone looking to grow a business fast, writes Hugh Mason.
g2i started out as an investment readiness scheme for technology companies based in London. Since 2007, when Pembridge joined the consortium to extend its reach to cover creative businesses, we have supported over 140 firms with a free business model review and provided intensive mentoring to over 150, thanks to financial support from the London Development Agency.
It's been a real pleasure to see so many companies benefit from this scheme. Companies like CitySocialising, which raised £260,000 after taking part, must take the credit for their own success. We're just delighted to have helped them along the way. Hear from the entrepreneurs themselves on the new g2i YouTube channel.
For anyone who's not familiar with it, g2i is designed to maximise the success of London based companies raising private investment. Delivered by a consortium of private sector specialists, g2i offers advice, support and assistance to help companies develop their teams, propositions and pitches. g2i offers you the opportunity to work with experienced entrepreneurs and investors to become 'investor ready'. The event on 24th October is free and will cover:
- insight into what investors look for;
- an update on current investment trends;
- an understanding of how g2i can help you become 'investor ready':
- an opportunity to meet like-minded entrepreneurs and to build your contacts and business networks.
In the Design, Digital and Creative industries, a broad range of London based companies and entrepreneurs are eligible to apply, including anyone active in Music, Visual & Performing Arts, Publishing, Film, Radio & TV (New Media), Advertising, or Games Development.
