"Perhaps the single most impressive performance from an agency was Omobono, which almost doubled its gross income," B2B marketing reported in its October 09 issue. "The Cambridge-based agency... has clearly created a formula and mix of services which tap into clients needs in a difficult period."What did Omobono do right? According to Rose Lewis from Pembridge:
Pembridge Partners LLP is an Omobono investor, and also took a seat on the Board last year, to advise the firm through a 3-5 year growth plan.• Clever positioning: They positioned themselves differently and really identified where they delivered value – instead of just saying what they thought they ‘should’ be saying
• Ingrained attitude: Diets don’t work, and neither do new business programmes - new business is about ingraining a change of attitude into all levels of the organization
• Staff engagement: Managing and engaging staff are two different things. The way to really engage your staff to deliver is to not only have a philosophy, but to bring it alive. In this case, staff were taken to see their company's namesake, the street named after the patron saint of business (called Omobono), that is buried in Italy.
